Imagine a property built of blocks made from a sustainable material (perlite) without chemicals or plastics, that has excellent sound and thermal insulation, outstanding resistance to moisture, and no need for mortar.


In fact, forthcoming legislation which will make ‘cold bridges’ – absorbent materials that allow moisture and cold to travel easily around buildings – illegal, will eventually make concrete-based products obsolete.

  • What is perlite?

    Perlite is sustainable mineral, a kind of volcanic ash that is mined and processed with a negligible impact on the environment. It’s a high-performance solution for the construction industry, with a nearly unlimited supply throughout the world. System 3E comprises 22 ‘elements’ made from perlite that can be used in a versatile and creative way to construct any type of building – the only limit is your imagination!

  • What are the natural properties of perlite and System 3E elements?

    It is a natural, sustainable material free from chemicals and plastics, that is friendly to both human health and the planet. A single-layer wall possesses excellent thermal and sound insulation , and has outstanding moisture resistance, so you will not encounter any issues with cold bridging, heat, noise, damp, mould, fungi or algae. System 3E buildings ‘breathe’ making them ideal for allergy sufferers. There’s no need to use mortar or any bonding agent – the elements click together without the requirement for a skilled workforce, and can be constructed in any weather conditions.

  • Do I need to use insulation, damp-proofing or plasterboard with System 3E?

    No, there is no need to use additional insulation or damp-proofing. It is possible to skim plaster directly onto the interior of the 3E elements without using plasterboard, although plasterboard can still be installed if you prefer. The exterior can be clad, painted, rendered, or ask for further options

  • Is it as structurally strong as traditional masonry?

    Yes, it is comparable to other building materials in terms of structural strength – the compressive strength of System 3E elements is ≥ 1,5 N / mm2.

  • Is it compatible with other building materials such as timber and steel?

    Yes, you can combine 3E elements with other types of building materials and structural designs. Just call us with your query and we’d be very happy to advise.

  • Can you help me with design and training?

    Yes of course! We can provide training modules on designing buildings using System 3E elements and in the ‘click click’ fastening method (which does not require specialist construction skills or experience). The training courses are quick and easy and take no more than two hours.

  • How much time will I save using System 3E?

    System 3E is much quicker due to it not needing any mortar, and its simple bonding method doesn’t require any specialist skills. This means you can reduce projected construction time from, for example, 12 months using traditional materials and methods, to as little as 3 months.

  • How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

    Most orders take four weeks to be fulfilled, but please contact us for an up-to-date estimate on delivery times. With 3Homee, you don’t need to worry about disrupted supply and we can guarantee prices and availability.
